Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 10, 2026

CoverHub (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates coverhub.fun (the “Site”), a publication of do-it-yourself home maintenance and repair guides. We respect your privacy and collect only what we need to run the Site. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how advertising and analytics partners such as Google use cookies on this Site, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

  • Information you provide: if you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you submit so we can reply. If you leave a comment on a guide, we collect the name, email, and comment text you enter, plus your IP address to help us detect spam.
  • Automatically collected data: like most websites, our servers and service providers may record your IP address, browser type, device information, referring page, and pages viewed, for security, troubleshooting, and aggregate analytics.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: small files stored on your device that support analytics, remember preferences (such as your name on repeat comments), and — through our advertising partners — help serve and measure ads. See Sections 3 and 4.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to messages sent through the contact form.
  • To publish and moderate comments, and to filter spam.
  • To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and its guides.
  • To understand, in aggregate, how readers find and use our content.
  • To display advertising that keeps our guides free to read.
  • To comply with applicable laws and to detect or prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use contact-form submissions or comment emails for marketing.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We and our partners use both first-party cookies (set by CoverHub) and third-party cookies (set by services such as Google) to remember preferences, measure traffic, and serve advertising. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time; disabling cookies may affect some features, but you will still be able to read every guide on the Site.

4. Google AdSense and Advertising

CoverHub uses Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC, to display ads. The following disclosures describe how advertising on this Site works:

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this Site and other sites on the internet.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads).
  • You may also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info/choices, or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu.
  • For more detail on how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region requiring consent for advertising cookies, ads on this Site are served in line with Google’s consent requirements, and you may be shown a consent choice before personalized ads are served.

5. Analytics

We use Google tools (via Google Site Kit, which can include Google Analytics) to understand aggregate, non-identifying trends — such as which repair guides readers use most. These tools may set their own cookies. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. Comments and Embedded Content

If you leave a comment, your comment and its metadata are retained so follow-up comments can be recognized automatically. An anonymized string created from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it; the Gravatar privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy. Guides may occasionally embed content (such as videos) from other sites; embedded content behaves as if you visited the other website directly, and that site may collect data about you.

7. Third-Party Links

Our guides may link to third-party resources such as manufacturer documentation, safety standards bodies, and tool references. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any third-party site.

8. Data Retention

Contact-form submissions are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so threads remain readable. Aggregate analytics data is retained according to the analytics provider’s settings.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing or withdraw consent. Residents of the EEA/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA) have specific rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. If you have left comments, you can also request an export of the personal data we hold about you. To make a request, use our contact form and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children’s Privacy

CoverHub is written for adult homeowners and renters and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

13. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, reach us through our contact form.
